Dr. Ana Lourenco is a Professor of Radiology and Vice Chair of Education with expertise in breast imaging. She earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard University in 1998 and her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2002. She completed her diagnostic radiology residency at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in 2007, followed by a fellowship in women's imaging at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston in 2008.
Dr. Lourenco's clinical, academic, and research interests focus on breast imaging, including mammography, breast MRI, breast ultrasound, and image-guided breast interventions. She previously served as the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program Director and Breast Imaging Fellowship Director, demonstrating a longstanding commitment to radiology education and mentorship. She is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and is a Fellow of both the Society of Breast Imaging (FSBI) and the American College of Radiology (FACR).
