Objectives:
This course is designed for practicing radiologists who are looking to improve their interpretive and diagnostic acumen in all facets of breast imaging. After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Describe methods to optimize multi-modality breast cancer screening and diagnosis, including the imaging of special populations
  • Discuss advances in deep learning and artificial intelligence applications in both screening mammography as well as image-derived risk assessment
  • Discuss the data and optimization of supplemental screening with whole breast ultrasound, contrast-enhanced mammography, and abbreviated breast MRI
  • Outline the methods used to optimize breast MRI imaging sequences as well as study interpretation
  • Describe the optimization of various image-guided breast biopsy methods, including the management of high-risk lesions.
