Amy McGaha, MD, FAAFP, is a family medicine physician with CHI Health Clinic in Florence and associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha.

She previously served as assistant director of the Division of Medical Education for the American Academy of Physicians from 2005-2010, and as medical director for Freeman Health Systems’ Freeman Clinic in Anderson, Mo., from 2003 to 2005. She practiced at Patients First Urgent Care, Tallahassee, Fla., from 2002 to 2003.

Dr. McGaha earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri and a medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine, both in Columbia, Mo. She completed a family medicine residency at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Fla., and a National Institute of Program Director Development Fellowship with the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors.

Dr. McGaha is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She currently serves with organizations including the Commission on Education of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) Foundation Board of Trustees and the CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center Medical Executive Committee.
