Alyssa Tannenbaum PT, DPT is a graduate of Slippery Rock University’s doctorate of physical therapy program, in Slippery Rock, PA.
Alyssa’s interest in physical therapy began as a young, competitive gymnast and continued throughout her career as a collegiate athlete. Her own experience with rehabilitation facilitated her interest in helping others achieve their individual goals and assisting athletes to return safely to their prior level of function and performance.
Before joining CHOP’s Sports Medicine and Performance Center in 2015, Alyssa worked at Kinetic Physical Therapy and Human Performance Center in Chester Springs, PA. It was there that she carried out her interest in sports medicine as a member of their Adolescent Sports Medicine Program, treating young athletes and being a part of community education for injury prevention. It was also there that she developed a special interest in treatment of vestibular and concussion rehabilitation.
