Alfred Allen E. Buenafe MD, FPCS, FACS

Dr. Alfred Allen E. Buenafe, MD, FPCS, FACS is an Executive Director of the Philippine Center for Advanced Surgery (PCAS) and he has experience of 27 years in the field of endoscopic and laparoscopic fields. As an authority in the field, he has been invited as a speaker for International Conventions and Workshops in Basic and Advances Laparoscopy in Europe and Asian countries. He completed a Doctor of Medicine from De La Salle University in 1991. His current leadership positions are the president of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia (ELSA), Joint Secretary General of Asia Pacific Hernia Surgery (APHS), and Board of Directors of Joint Secretary General of Asia Endosurgery Task Force (AETF) Asia Pacific Endo Laparoscopic Group. He is also the editor of the Asian Journal of Endoscopic Surgery (official publication of ELSA).
