Alfred A. Cividino MD, FRCPC, FACR

Dr. Alfred Cividino received his medical degree from McMaster University in 1979. Dr. Cividino is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Canada) in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. At present, Dr. Cividino is the Head of the Rheumatology Service for the Hamilton Health Sciences and Division Director, Rheumatology, McMaster University. He is a Professor of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University, interested in medical education and is active in research in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis.
He was the Director of Medical Foundation Five in the MD Program at McMaster University. Dr. Cividino is the past Chair of the CRA Scientific Program Committee and served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Rheumatology Association and the Ontario Rheumatology Association. . In 2003 Dr. Cividino received a five year Clinical Teacher Award from The Arthritis Society. He has been awarded the 2010 Canadian Rheumatology Association Clinical Educator Award and the McMaster Department of Medicine Undergraduate Teaching Award. Dr. Cividino is the inaugural AbbVie Chair in Education in Rheumatology at McMaster University.
