Dr. Quaas earned his M.D. from the University of Manchester in Manchester, England, and his Ph.D. from the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg, Germany. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Harvard University and his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Southern California. Prior to joining Reproductive Partners Fertility Center – San Diego, Dr. Quaas was a physician and faculty member at Oklahoma University Health Science Center and at the University Hospital of Basel, Switzerland. He is board-certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. Quaas is very involved in teaching and research in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS) and was the Program Chair of the PCRS 2017 Annual Meeting. He has authored and co-authored many peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and serves on the editorial boards of Fertility and Sterility and the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics (JARG). He completed a Master’s degree in Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Oklahoma, and the prestigious ASRM/NICHD/Duke Clinical Research/ Reproductive Scientist Training (CREST) Program.
He has received numerous teaching and research awards, including multiple “Teacher of the Year” awards from Harvard medical students, as well as the prize paper for the best overall abstract at the PCRS annual meeting 2011. Dr. Quaas is fluent in English, Spanish, German, French, and Italian. He has special interests in endometriosis, adenomyosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, third-party reproduction, and fertility preservation.
