Alessandro Napoli MD, PhD

Dr. Napoli is a professor of radiology in the Department of Radiological, Oncology and Pathological Science at the Sapienza University of Rome where he is also head of the MR-Guided Focused Ultrasound Treatment Unit. Dr. Napoli is very active in the field, serving as president elect of the European Society of Focused Ultrasound Therapy as well as organizing the first two European symposia on focused ultrasound. He is a reviewer for several radiology scientific journals and has published many papers on focused ultrasound, including a paper on palliation of painful bone metastases through focused ultrasound that was winner of the 10th Annual Lodwick Award. He received hi PhD and MD from Sapienza University of Rome.
