Aditya M. Sharma MD

Dr. Aditya Sharma, MBBS, is a vascular medicine physician at UVA, where he directs the anticoagulation clinic and the medical optimization clinic, which helps patients with vascular disorders manage their risk factors with medication. He is particularly interested in the care of patients with uncommon vascular disorders, particularly fibromuscular dysplasia, arterial dissection, and Buerger’s disease. He is also certified as an RPVI (registered physician in vascular interpretation) and conducts vascular ultrasounds at UVA’s non-invasive vascular lab. 

Dr. Sharma was born in Mumbai and attended medical school in India. He moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for his residency training and internal medicine fellowship at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital. He then completed a vascular medicine fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. He joined UVA as an assistant professor of medicine in 2012.
