Dr. Adi Mehta was born in Nairobi, Kenya. He completed his medical degree at the University of Western Ontario, in London, Ontario, where he also did his internal medicine residency. He then completed his Endocrinology fellowship at McGill University in Montreal, Canada where he also did a clinical and research fellowship. He then joined the faculty of medicine at the University of Manitoba, in Winnipeg, Manitoba as an Assistant and subsequently Associate Professor. Subsequently, he moved to the USA and joined the faculty at the Cleveland Clinic in the Department of Endocrinology.
He is a member of numerous societies in both the USA and Canada including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Endocrine Society, and the American Diabetes Association. He is listed in "Best Doctors in America: 2003-2004 and 2005-2006. He was awarded the Outstanding Clinical Endocrinologist Award for the year 2009 by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
