23rd Annual Diabetes Day

23rd Annual Diabetes Day is organized by Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education and will be held on May 11, 2018 at Intercontinental Cleveland, Cleveland, Ohio, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is primary care physicians, endocrinologists, diabetes educators, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians, and other health care professionals who care for patients with diabetes. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Conference Objectives are :
• Describe the pharmacologic actions, side effect profiles, clinical trial data, and potential role of recently approved drugs for treating diabetes and those in the pipeline
• Summarize the effects of specific drug classes on glucose levels
• Define the clinical factors differentiating between treating to target and treating to outcome
• Describe the impact of individualizing hemoglobin A1C goals and evaluate the risk of hypoglycemia in diabetes management strategies
• Compare the effectiveness of exercise plans and weight control plans in diabetes therapy
• Summarize data on the effectiveness of various diets and their potential role in diabetes strategies
