Aaron Schneir graduated from medical school at the University of Southern California following which he did a residency in Emergency Medicine at UC Davis Medical Center. After serving an additional year as chief resident at UC Davis, Aaron completed the two-year Medical Toxicology fellowship here at UC San Diego. Aaron was promoted to Clinical Professor in 2014 and serves as faculty in both Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology.

Since 2006 he has been the director of medical toxicology resident and student education. He has written the toxicology questions for the last three volumes (VI, VII, VIII) of Physician's Evaluation and Educational Review in Emergency Medicine (PEER) and is currently working on the latest volume. Since 2012 he has been an associate director of the Mammoth Emergency Medicine Conference held annually the first week in March in Mammoth, California.
