Dr. Surjit Tarafdar

Dr. Surjit Tarafdar is a Staff Specialist in the departments of Medical Assessment Unit and Nephrology at the Blacktown Hospital and a conjoint senior lecturer in Medicine at the University of Western Sydney.
He has a keen interest in academics which is exemplified by his multiple teaching awards. Dr. Tarafdar conceptualized and co-authored “Passing the FRACP Written Examination- Questions and Answers” published by Wiley-Blackwell in October 2013 and is currently editing a book titled “Lecture Notes in Nephrology”, to be published by Wiley in April 2019.
Dr. Tarafdar started the Sydney based annual nephrology revision programme “Revise Nephrology” in 2015. In 2018, the programme was attended by more than 200 medicine trainees. Feedback from the participants has consistently shown that more than 90% of them have rated the course 4 or 5 stars for exam preparation and course content.
