Society of Interventional Oncology (SIO)

The Society of Interventional Oncology (SIO) is a non-profit association that supports and promotes the field of interventional oncology (IO).

SIO provides a community for IO professionals to connect and work together to advance IO as the fourth pillar of cancer therapy worldwide alongside their clinical partners in medical, surgical, and radiation oncology. their society offers a space for IO practitioners to continue their professional development, access and develop research opportunities, and advocate together for the advancement of this growing specialty.

Mission:
SIO’s mission is to advance interventional oncology through research and evidence-based education that equip practitioners and multidisciplinary care teams to uphold clinical excellence, and through awareness that expands access and empowers patients to pursue life-changing treatment options.

Vision:
To advance Interventional Oncology (IO) as the fourth pillar of cancer therapy alongside medical, surgical, and radiation oncology worldwide.
