The mission of FSWA is to collaboratively transform legal systems to foster well-being, human rights, and thriving communities by connecting professionals, conducting evidence-informed practice, and engaging in bold advocacy. Specifically, They foster:

• Networking – Connecting global forensic social work professionals to build a vibrant community across disciplines
• Education – Creating and maintaining forensic social work standards and best practices. Providing access to materials and resources, continuing education, and professional development
• Scholarship – Contributing to the practice and professional knowledge base
• Advocacy – Supporting policy and programs that promote social, racial, economic, and environmental justice. Advocating for the rights, dignity, and well-being of individuals, families, and communities impacted by legal systems
