SIMS (Musculoskeletal Imaging Society) is the result of the merger of GETROA (Study and Work Group in Osteo-Articular Imaging, founded in 1974) and GEL (Musculoskeletal System Sonographer Group, founded in 1997).
Today, SIMS is:
• A multidisciplinary scientific society administered by a college of radiologists, musculoskeletal ultrasound specialists and clinicians
• A Company recognized and respected throughout the French-speaking and international medical world
• Unique expertise in the development, research and teaching of musculoskeletal imaging
• More than 1500 members
• 50 thematic works
• A bilingual magazine, Gel Contact, dedicated to ultrasound
• An annual thematic congress welcoming 800 participants from around fifteen nationalities
• Two ultrasound workshop sessions each year
• An annual day of news in musculoskeletal interventional imaging
• In 2024, SIMS will take over from Jean-Louis Brasseur for the organization of the Ultrasound News Day.

• The V.US and workshops at the JFR
