Annual Congress European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR) & Scientific Society of Musculoskeletal Imaging (SIMS) Joint Meeting 2025 is organized by Europa Group, European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR), Musculoskeletal Imaging Society / Societe d'Imagerie Musculo-Squelettique (SIMS) and will be held from Jun 19 - 21, 2025 at Pierre Baudis Congress Center, Toulouse, Occitanie, France.

Theme: "Imaging the Athlete and Returning to Play"

Description:
The congress will kick off on Thursday with a joint day for both societies, held entirely in English and dedicated to musculoskeletal ultrasound, organized by Dr. Lionel Pesquer. This day will include, among other things, hands-on workshops, offering a unique opportunity to refine skills and engage with international experts.

On Friday, each society will offer its own program: SIMS in French and ESSR in English. For SIMS, the scientific committee led by Philippe Meyer has selected a variety of themes. Lesions will be discussed by location: the hip, elbow, extremities, vascular and nerve impingements; as well as more globally: women in sports, specific lesions in child and adolescent athletes, and imaging for para-sports. For ESSR, an equally rich and varied program will be offered, allowing everyone to find topics of interest and engage in enriching discussions.

On Saturday morning, joint «SIMS and ESSR» sessions will alternate speakers from both societies on the theme “Return to Play.” These presentations, with simultaneous translation, will cover topics such as tendon and muscle injuries in athletes, stress fractures, knee and ankle ligament repairs, and imaging of shoulder instability. A panel discussion on return to play after a muscle injury, as well as on image-guided percutaneous interventions and their role in accelerating return to sport, will conclude the morning.
