International Institute for Continuing Medical Education, Inc. (IICME)

The International Institute for Continuing Medical Education, Inc. (IICME) was formed in 1995 and is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. IICME also offers CME Category 1 credits via state-of-the-art medical education DVDs.

Mission:
The mission of the International Institute for Continuing Medical Education (IICME) is to design, develop, and deliver evidence-based scientific information to physicians and other healthcare professionals that promotes lifelong learning. IICME manifests this mission mainly through offering educational opportunities that support physician’s needs to enhance their competence in medical knowledge and performance recognizing competencies essential to the practice of medicine, patient care, practice and systems improvement, interpersonal and communication skills, and professionalism. IICME will achieve this mission by the continued determination of knowledge and performance gaps, educational development, activity, and overall CME medical conferences program evaluation, and analysis of educational activities. IICME expects that physicians attending IICME certified CME activities will report learning outcomes related to one or more of these competencies that will impact their practice.
