The German Society for Nutritional Medicine (DGEM) is the medical-scientific professional society for nutritional medicine in Germany. As a multidisciplinary organization, it primarily comprises professionals from the medical field, as well as from nutritional science and dietetics, nursing, and pharmacy. Its more than 3,000 members conduct research, teach, treat patients, and provide consultation, focusing on clinical nutrition, metabolism, malnutrition, and other nutritional medicine issues.

The German Society for Nutritional Medicine (DGEM) promotes science, practice, and education and training in the field of nutritional medicine and metabolic research. It regularly organizes continuing education courses, symposia, and congresses to share knowledge and experience and to initiate and deepen interdisciplinary exchange with national and international institutions working in this field. Together with other professional societies, the DGEM awards scholarships and research grants for basic and clinically applied research.
