Cardiac Skills Australia

Cardiac Skills Australia specialises in echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound) training for medical specialists. Their training acknowledges the growing demand for 'point of care' ultrasound and its role as a fundamental tool for diagnostic evaluation.

Their workshops use a step-by-step approach to teach the skills necessary for performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound. Tuition by experienced cardiac sonographers; an emphasis on hands-on training; and small group settings (1:3 ratio), means that delegates walk away being able to confidently perform a basic echocardiography exam.

Cardiac Skills Australia was established in 2013 by Kellie D'Orsa. Kellie is an accredited cardiac sonographer with experience performing echo in critical care settings. She is also qualified in higher education, learning and teaching and is an experienced facilitator in problem based learning.
