Utilizing a Shared Decision Making Approach to Mental Health Disorder Management is organized by North American Center for Continuing Medical Education (NACCME) and would be held during Jan 26, 2016 - Jan 26, 2017.
The target audience for this medical event are primary care physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who treat female patients. This CME conference has been approved with a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
• Recognize the specific disease patterns of mental health disorders in women and identify other co-occurring diseases that may be present
• Review advantages and disadvantages of current pharmacologic treatment options for depression
• Describe the concept of shared decision making and its effects on medication compliance
• Tailor treatment plans to the specific needs of the female patient utilizing shared decision making tools
