Overview:
This course fulfils the two-hour continuous education for domestic violence and requirements for licensure for Florida allopathic doctors, psychologists, podiatrists and psychologists, advanced nurse practitioners, nursing staff, and social workers.

 Learning Objectives:

• Find the perpetrators and victims of domestic violence in the clinical practice.
• Find out the number of patients in an office of a physician who is likely victimized by domestic violence, as well as the number of people who could be the perpetrators of domestic violence.
• Recognize the cycles that lead to violence and evaluate how the relationship with domestic violence fits into the cycle.
• Explain the legal system's process that victims and perpetrators go through.
• Distinguish the domestic violence court from others in the justice system.
• Refer survivors of domestic violence to counselling groups for victims, victim support groups and protection services.
• Use resources within your local area, like domestic violence centres as well as advocacy groups offering legal assistance refuge, counselling for victims or child protection services.
