Description:
In this session Dr. Tano will discuss how environmental toxins influence the pathogenesis of estrogen dominance associated conditions.  He will present the data and etiological factors that are involved n the development of the estrogen epidemic and review how environmental toxins are influence the pathogenesis of estrogen dominance associated conditions.

Learning Objectives:

1. Identify and describe the interface between the endocrine system, the immune system
2. Categorize the different environmental toxins and their effects as endocrine disruptors (especially the estrogen epidemic) and correlate with geographical distributions for the obesity epidemic, atopic and autoimmune diseases, and anxiety/depression.
3. Evaluate connections between pesticides, common household chemicals and what is called hormone imbalance syndrome: high estrogen, thyroid dysfunction, gut dysfunction, low male hormones and their impact on well-being.
4. Discuss this hormone imbalance syndrome and its impact on obesity and its comorbidities, allergies, and anxiety/depression
