Target Audience:
For nurses, clinical nurse specialists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physicians, respiratory therapists, psychologists, pharmacists, social workers, physical therapists and other interested healthcare professionals in all settings.
Overview:
Pain causes extensive suffering, disability and expenditure of scarce healthcare resources. These online education modules focus on the challenge of pain management for healthcare professionals across the healthcare continuum. Regional and national pain specialists present evidence-based strategies for assessing and managing pain in all care settings. Teaching methods include video lecture, downloadable handouts and case studies. Lectures were recorded in January 2019 at the 10th Annual Challenge of Pain Conference provided by University of Washington Continuing Nursing Education.
