Course Description:
This course focuses on the four main categories of Temporomandibular Disorder, namely atherogenic, myogenic, derangements and uncommon TMD. The lectures will review the current standards for medical history and physical examination required for diagnosis.

• TMJ mechanics.
• TMJ radiology including the use of 3D-CT.
• TMJ Dysfunction.
• Evidence-based treatment procedures.

Course Objectives:
• Know the basics of TMJ anatomy and its clinical application.
• Identify the various types of TMJ disorders.
• Understand the mechanism of myofascial pain induction and maintenance.
• Know the appropriate use of TMJ radiology procedures including 3D-CT, panoramic films, and MRI images.

This Course is Intended for:
This course is for dentists and other health care professionals dealing with dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint. It will provide practical information on how to diagnose and treat TMJ internal derangement, disc dislocations, capsulitis and arthritis.
