Description:
This course covers methods for nursing assistants to effectively communicate with residents who are cognitively impaired. Those who complete this course will be able to define what dementia and Alzheimer's are and explain the duties of a nursing assistant handling dementia residents. They will learn how to properly engage the residents and develop methods for simpler communication.
