This course offers suicide prevention training for healthcare professionals. This course meets the Washington state suicide prevention training requirement for health professionals.

Objectives:
• Describe how to complete a comprehensive suicide assessment
• Describe the appropriate treatment and management of suicidal behaviors and risks
• Discuss 2 strategies for Safety Planning and Monitoring Use of the Safety Plan
• Identify the special needs for suicide prevention in the veteran population
• Identify risk of imminent harm vs non-suicidal self-directed violence
• Discuss lethal means from self-injurious behaviors
