Description:
The purpose of this course is to educate healthcare professionals in suicide prevention.
Objectives:
• Recall the five domains of a suicide assessment.
• List 4 of the 6 components in the management of suicidal behavior as defined by the American Psychiatric Association.
• Discuss 2 strategies for Safety Planning and Monitoring Use of the Safety Plan.
• Identify 3 interventions available for suicide prevention in the veteran population.
• Differentiate the terms risk of imminent harm vs. parasuicidality.
