Stress is organized by Vista Continuing Education. This Course has been approved for a maximum of  2CE.

Course Overview:
Identified and proposed causes include a need for power and control, a form of bullying and social learning of abuse. Abusers' efforts to dominate their partners have been attributed to low self-esteem or feelings of inadequacy, unresolved childhood conflicts, the stress of poverty, hostility and resentment toward women, hostility and resentment toward men, personality disorders, genetic tendencies and sociocultural influences, among other possible causative factors. This course will explore further the causes and consequences of domestic violence.

Course Objectives:
Learning to deal with stress effectively is a worthwhile effort. Many of the most common long-term stressors, family illness, recovery after injury, career pressures, often arise without warning and simultaneously. Stress management is particularly valuable if a family has a history of hypertension and other forms of heart disease. This course will examine causes, diagnosis and treatment of stress related disorders.
