Description:
This session will provide practitioners with an overview of the psychosocial aspects of a breast cancer diagnosis and its potential impact on the family unit. The goal of the course is to enable practitioners to provide psychoeducation and support to patients throughout their breast cancer trajectory. Oncology psychologist Regina Melchor, Psy.D., a Memorial Sloan-Kettering alumna, will also share information on local resources for patients.

Objectives:
• Assess the social, psychological and familial aspects of a breast cancer diagnosis and provide support and access to resources for patients and their families.
