OVERVIEW
Sentinel Lymph Node (SLN) Mapping with Near Infrared Fluorescence Imaging in Gynecologic Cancers is organized by North American Center for Continuing Medical Education (NACCME) and would be held during Apr 17, 2015 - May 13, 2017.
The target audience for this medical event are multidisciplinary women's cancer specialists trained in the comprehensive management of women with gynecologic cancers. This CME conference has been approved with a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.
Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
• Review current clinical literature, on-going clinical trials, technology, and techniques for indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence lymphatic mapping in gynecological and pelvic surgery
• Review the history and evolving role of ICG fluorescence sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping in the prognostication of patients with cervical, endometrial, and vulvar carcinomas
• Outline and compare the advantages and disadvantages of alternative mapping techniques and strategies
• Recognize injection protocols for ICG in fluorescence mapping in cervical, endometrial, and vulvar cancers
• Describe the role of ICG fluorescence in perfusion assessment of gastrointestinal anastomosis
• Explore the potential future impact of ICG fluorescence SLN mapping on outcomes and recurrence
