San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium : Applying What We Have Learned is organized by City of Hope and would be held during Feb 10, 2017 - Feb 10, 2018.
The target audience for this medical event for Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Surgeons, Internists and other allied health care professionals who treat patients with breast cancer. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Performance Gap Imperative :
Determining which treatment approach is most appropriate for a given breast cancer patient requires careful consideration of patient-specific characteristics, physician expertise and available health- system treatment resources. The San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium is an internationally recognized forum for bringing together leaders in breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and prevention to present their cutting edge practice changing research with the intent to improve therapeutic outlook for the breast cancer patient.
Objectives :
At the end of this continuing medical education activity, participants should be able to:
• Cite and apply the most important research data from the 2015 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) as they relate to treatment strategies to prevent recurrence and prolong survival in the patient with breast cancer
• Analyze results from key clinical trials attempting to define standard-of-care-treatments for patients with breast cancer and how these data might be applied to modify and improve existing treatment plans
• Review the safety and efficacy of recent clinical advances in the management of patients with breast cancer
• Examine how to augment standard therapy(ies) with novel agents and treatment approaches to improve outcome for patients with breast cancer
