OVERVIEW

Opus Medicus Problematic Endometrial Biopsies is organized by Opus Medicus, Inc. and will be held during May 24, 2017 - May 23, 2020. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Course Description:
The course illustrates common 'pitfalls' in endometrial biopsy pathology. Literature evidence and expert opinion are provided to identify lesions with a high-risk of concurrent endometrial cancer. Reporting terminology is suggested to establish clear communication with clinicians that will help triage women to an appropriate therapy.

Topics:
• Adequacy criteria for endometrial biopsies
• Guidelines on when to recommend re-biopsy
• Non-cycling (disordered or atrophic) endometrium
• Neoplastic mimics: Endometrial polyps, Papillary eosinophilic metaplasia
• Papillary proliferations in polyps
• Metaplasia: Mucinous, squamous, morular, papillary
• Gland crowding

Conference Objectives are :
• Highlight common pitfalls in endometrial biopsy pathology.
• Separate high-risk lesions from benign metaplastic changes.
• Use reporting terminology to facilitate triaging women to an appropriate therapy.
