OVERVIEW
Pri-med Evaluation of Anemia is organized by Pri-Med and would be held during Dec 21, 2015 - Dec 21, 2018. The target audience for this medical event basically for oncologists. hematologists.
This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 0.45 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits offering. Topics to be covered during this conference are Anemia, Oncology and Hematology, Iron Deficiency Anemia.
Learning Objectives are :
• Classify anemia into 6 basic categories using the MCV and reticulocyte count.
• Discuss the basic elements of the physical exam and review of systems to help point out the etiology of anemia.
• Review the overlap of presentation of iron deficiency anemia and anemia of chronic inflammation and distinguish between the two with laboratory testing.
• Define the multiple coexisting etiologies of anemia.
• Apply strategies for basic testing for anemia in order to maximize the benefit of a hematology consultation.
