Peripheral Venous Interventions and Ultrasound is organized by docmedED.com Educational Symposia (ESI) ON-DEMAND and will be held during Nov 15, 2017 - Nov 14, 2020.

The target audience for this medical event is interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, cardiologists and other physicians who perform minimally invasive venous procedures and interpret or rely on venous ultrasound studies in their practice. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 11.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Course Description:
This CME teaching activity provides a detailed review of the complex anatomy and physiology of the peripheral venous system while highlighting the minimally invasive procedures used to treat the multitude of venous disorders. Expert faculty will share their knowledge of scanning techniques, pearls, pitfalls and challenges associated with imaging the venous system and documenting hemodynamic dysfunction. In addition to diagnostic duplex ultrasound and color flow mapping techniques, their role in treatment will be included in thorough reviews of commonly performed interventions such as venous ablation, sclerotherapy and thrombolytic therapy.

Course Objectives are:
• Discuss the clinical indications and applications of venous ultrasound.
• Describe the indications and complications of vena cave filters.
• Compare the different venous ablative therapies.
• Describe venous insufficiency treatment and post procedure management options.
• Recognize sonographic features of successful and failed bypass graft and stent.
