Peri Implant Mucositis and Peri-implantitis are becoming an increasing problem both in the United States and Worldwide. Despite great success for implant surgical placement and prosthetic rehabilitation of implants, loss of implant osteointegration and loss of attachment may occur. This CE webinar describes the proper terminology for implant diseases, with discussion of alternative nomenclature to support proper diagnosis and treatment planning. An emphasis for prevention with proper implant maintenance will be described, but etiologies for implant diseases will be highlighted.
