Overview:
Lurie Children's Pediatric Research Now (PRN) is a free education platform to medical trainees (and practicing clinicians) through which experts across many pediatric specialties post short summaries of recent journal publications in their fields of expertise. These summaries are paired with data visuals highlighting the key findings of each published article. The goal is to bridge the gap between child-focused medical trainees and practicing clinicians and the latest in published research, and also to help increase research literacy. One to two article summaries are posted each week. For each instance of CME activity for Pediatric Research Now, each participant (seeker of CME) will be asked to read 4 summaries and answer questions (based on the summary), 4 questions per summary, to test their understanding of featured publication and the major research findings and aspects of the study. Time expected for each participant to read the summary, examine the data visuals, read parts of the corresponding journal article (if they are interested) and answer the 4 questions is 15 minutes. Therefore, for each instance of 4 summaries 1 hour of CME time is expected.

Objectives:
• Explain the clinical implications of the research study findings.
• Recognize and be able to differentiate between key method terminology and statistical concepts.
• Identify the disease/illness/condition being discussed and it's appropriate treatment modalities.
• Summarize the limitations of the study and it's significance to the outcomes.
