Chicago, Illinois, United States of America

Mission:
The mission of the Office of Continuing Medical Education at the Feinberg School of Medicine is to provide exceptional quality education that leads to measurable improvement in the knowledge, competence, and performance of health care providers. They strive to objectively present timely evidence-based information in an engaging learning environment that promotes the highest quality of care and leads to improved patient outcomes.

They facilitate the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational activities to ensure compliance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education requirements for continuing medical education (CME). For all of their programs, they provide comprehensive content that emphasizes desirable physician attributes as identified by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, the American Board of Medical Specialists, and the Institute of Medicine core competencies.

They systematically evaluate the outcomes of each educational activity and their overall program. The expected result of participating in a FSM CME activity is enhanced knowledge and competence as measured by self-reported questionnaire. They strive for improvement in learner performance and patient outcomes as a result of their educational activities and encourage strategies for measuring these outcomes.
