• Describe what patriarchy is and how it impacts people  across the gender spectrum both socially and  psychologically.
• Describe two ways that patriarchy has shifted and evolved overtime - contrasting historical and contemporary perspectives.
• Summarize how patriarchy has impacted them personally and professionally, especially in their role as clinicians.
• Explain how patriarchal dynamics play out in the clinical encounter.
• Summarize ways in which psychoanalysis has both reified and challenged the patriarchy.
• Describe how clinicians can help their patients gain greater awareness of patriarchal norms and challenge or resist them.
