Define the criteria for palliative medicine involvement in end stage liver disease (ESLD) care and describe common symptoms and management in patients with ESLD with Kat Dobrovolny, MD. 

Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, you will be able to:

  1. Describe the trajectory, prognostication, and symptom burden of cirrhosis and end stage liver disease (ESLD).
  2. Describe the role of primary and specialist palliative medicine in management of patients with ESLD.
  3. Review updated guidelines on medical recommendations for symptom management.
