Course Description:
This course reviews the clinical and pathologic features of the neurodegenerative disease that has been named Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), also known as Steele-Richardson-Olszewski syndrome. This is a parkinsonian degenerative disorder that affects the brainstem and basal ganglia that presents with characteristic oculomotor deficits, gait disturbances, and cognitive abnormalities. This course highlights the key diagnostic features and differentiating characteristics from Parkinson's disease.

• Understand the epidemiology of PSP.
• Know what radiographic features are diagnostic of PSP.
• Know key diagnostic histopathologic features of PSP.
• Understand the genetics of PSP.
• Be able to differentiate PSP from Parkinson's disease.
