Conference Overview :
This webinar will discuss the current treatment options for multiple sclerosis (MS), specifically disease-modifying therapies, new and emerging therapies for an overall treatment plan, and what factors MS clinicians may consider when selecting drug therapies. The pharmacist’s role in treating patients with MS will also be discussed.
Conference Objectives :
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
• Identify the factors considered by MS clinicians in the selection of drug therapies for patients with multiple sclerosis (MS).
• Examine the currently available treatment options for MS, specifically the disease-modifying therapies, for reducing relapses and slowing the progression of the disease.
• Explore the emerging therapies for MS and where they belong in the overall treatment plan.
• Illustrate the pharmacist’s role in optimizing patient outcomes in the management of MS.
