Course Description:
This course is a comprehensive review and discussion of pain, pain medications, and current usage trends as well as the effects of pain and opioid drug-treatment of pain on human health and function. Content includes details of best practices for pain treatment across the age spectrum utilizing current CDC guidelines. In addition, the learner will review techniques and tools to integrate into clinical practice to successfully manage various types of pain and identify persons at high risk for Opioid Use Disorder.
