In this webcast, three recognized diabetes experts review the fundamentals of antihyperglycemic therapy, beginning with setting appropriate A1c targets through selection of initial therapy, intensifying treatment with multidrug regimens, and engaging and motivating patients to be fully invested in their treatment program to reach their A1c goals.
Objectives :
• Individualize therapeutic goals for patients with T2DM based on disease severity, comorbidities, treatment related risks, and psychosocial status
• Discuss the clinical profiles of current and emerging fixed-dose combinations of antihyperglycemic medications
• Intensify multidrug noninsulin regimens for various patient types to address poor glycemic control and other relevant clinical parameters
• Engage patients in their anti-diabetes management plans to motivate lifestyle changes and improve treatment adherence.
