Non-Valvular Atrial Fibrillation 2014 Guidelines is organized by American Heart Association (AHA) and would be held during May 12, 2014 - May 11, 2017. The Target audience Basically for this Event Cardiologists.This CME conference has been approved with a maximum of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
This activity is designed to help medical professionals learn how to practically apply the new guidelines in clinical practice. The audience will include nurses/advanced practice nurses, physicians (generalists and specialists), and pharmacists. The intent is to integrate the new guidelines and current standards of patient care into an interactive learning experience for practical application of the guidelines.
Objectives
• Identify the incidence, pathophysiology, and progression of atrial fibrillation. • Understand the symptoms, assessment tools, and diagnostic tools available in the diagnosis of atrial fibrillation. • Utilize the treatments specific to the AHA guidelines to provide evidence-based care to patients. • Recognize methods of preventing stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation. • Review patient education recommendations for atrial fibrillation.
