OVERVIEW

New Developments in the Management of Childhood Brain Tumors is organized by Baptist Health South Florida and will be held from Feb 01, 2018 - Feb 01, 2020.

The target audience for this medical event is Pediatricians, Pediatric Oncologists, Hematologists/Oncologists, Infectious Disease Pediatricians, Pediatric General Internists, Family Physicians, Neonatologists and Emergency Department Physicians. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 0.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Course Description :
Brain tumors are the second-most common cancer in children, after leukemia. Learners will hear about the new developments in the management of childhood brain tumors supported by current evidence.

Learning Objectives :
• Identify the most common pediatric brain tumors, their clinical manifestations and genetic causes.
• Explain the difference in chemotherapy, radiation therapy and immunotherapy for pediatric brain tumors.
• List the classifications of new molecular brain tumors.
