Navigating the Challenges of Prescribing Proprotein Convertase Subtilisin/Kexin type 9 (PCSK9) Inhibitors in Patients with Persistent Elevated LDL-C is organized by Global Academy For Medical Education and will be held Sep 19, 2017 - Sep 19, 2018.
The target audience for this medical event is Lipidologists, endocrinologists, and cardiologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered dietitians, advanced practice registered nurses, registered nurses, and pharmacists who are members of the NLA, as well as a national cohort of providers who manage patients with high LDL cholesterolemia. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Objectives:
After completing this activity, the participant will demonstrate the ability to:
• Incorporate PCSK9 inhibitors into the management of high LDL cholesterolemia based on their distinct mechanism of action and favorable safety and efficacy profiles, and appropriate indications for use
• Effectively navigate payer systems when managing patients with high LDL cholesterol with PCSK9Is to promote the likelihood of reimbursement
• Discuss strategies to improve the knowledge, skills or performance of the healthcare team
