Description:
This interactive case-based program focuses on managing patients with cardiorenal metabolic comorbidities. Participants will explore evidence-based guidelines, therapeutic strategies, and risk assessment tools to improve cardiovascular and kidney outcomes in patients with CKD, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Engaging decision-making scenarios and expert-led discussions will enhance practical skills and interdisciplinary approaches to optimize patient care.
Learning Objectives:
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Recognize the burden of HF and CKD and the need for early identification.
- Review the burden of concomitant HF, T2DM, and CKD, as well as current gaps in optimizing guideline-directed medical therapy in these patients.
- Evaluate the latest evidence from cardiovascular and renal outcomes trials with SGLT-2 inhibitors.
- Discuss how SGLT-2 inhibitors are shifting the treatment paradigms in patients with HF and or/renal impairment with or without T2DM.
