Course Description & Objectives:
This lecture/discussion course is designed to familiarize doctors and other health care workers with common issues related to psychological disorders and with appropriate responses by non-mental health professionals when working with clients with possible psychological disorders. This course will focus on Somatic Symptom Disorder, Illness Anxiety Disorder, Conversion Disorder(Functional Neurological Symptom Disorder), Psychological Factors Affecting Other Medical Conditions, Factious Disorder and other Specified or Unspecified Somatic Symptom and Related Disorders.
