Perioperative and perianesthesia team members can help patients by being knowledgeable of the risks of malignant hyperthermia and its signs and symptoms, by implementing evidence-based care, and by educating patients and families about MH. This module provides that information.

Conference Objectives are :
The goal of this continuing education program is to provide OR nurses, physicians, and surgical technologists with information about malignant hyperthermia, including perioperative signs and management of the patient.

• Identify patients at risk for malignant hyperthermia
• Differentiate the early and late signs and symptoms of malignant hyperthermia
• Describe diagnosis and treatment of malignant hyperthermia
